The Body Machine series numbers 81-85

I still experimented with being loose and identifying certain shapes, to get results in these drawings. This allowed me to work faster and more confidently, in the chronological order that was desired. It made the layers of wash more potent and effective, in determining values for each composition. I was pleased with the overall results of this set. It was a more relaxing period to work continuously until coming to a conclusion of ending the series. I did not feel the need to end it just yet. This series, like the lynching drawings, was very educational for me as an individual. I learned a tremendous amount of information, regarding commitment, unity, style, narrative, composition, techniques and self awareness. The Body Machine series no. 61 - 65

 This was a set of the series I fairly enjoyed drawing. Some of the pieces involve my experimenting more with ballpoint pen ink for shading effects. It gave a textural appearance also. The perspectives were the most interesting to draw of the two figures. There was no assurance of how they would turn out, like the rest of these drawings. Accepting the results as they were, actually was one of the most exciting experiences of this whole series.                      1. Body Machine # 61                      2.
