1. " Doggystyle ( ink wash version ) is my favorite position to draw. And I like to draw certain scenes from a bird's eye view. I cannot remember, when it was a big challenge for me, to capture the human figure, from this angle. But, I am sure there was a time, and I just continued to create such scenes, until I was satisfied with the results.
2. I like how the hatching details turned out in this " Doggystyle " version. The feet and the top's "mature" demeanor are my favorite features, displayed. I did another version of this exact piece, in colored pencil, also. The somewhat look of surprise on the bottom's face, is arousing to view. It seems to express a combination of sensations, that he is experiencing.
3. I enjoyed inking this piece, even with the uncertainty of how to create the bathroom effectively. I did not want to overdo the hatching, and distract from the figure of " Man Shaving ". I like the image of a stocky man, wearing only a towel. Especially, when the tops of the hips and cheeks are exposed. The idea of shaving like this, gives a sexy visual, that I wanted to create.
4. There was a website, dedicated to African bodybuilders. I enjoyed the many photographs of the men, from different countries on the continent. This is a " Sketch Of An African Bodybuilder ", that I thought was a beautiful man to render. And the fabric, wrapped around his head, with the joyous facial expression, was a distinctive image to detail in ballpoint pen. This is a piece, I could eventually recreate, into a final drawing.
