1. " Neighborly While Bicycling " was inspired by a man I saw in my parents' neighborhood. I was finishing the yard work for them, and standing in the garage door entrance, talking to my mom. Suddenly I saw a rather mature man, riding a bike up the street, passing by. And he looked over at us and said " How y'all doin' ? " My mom and I spoke with a " Hello " and " Hey...Alright. " I then noticed the muscles of his bare legs, ripple, as he slowly pedaled. He wore flip-flops, exposing the beige soles of his masculine feet. His cap was turned to the back, and a T-shirt clung comfortably against his slender torso. I immediately thought for longer periods of time, about the image of him, while continuing to converse. I became excited about the ideas that developed in my imagination.
