Man Riding Another Man & Other Drawings

1. Man Riding Another Man              2. Man Standing Beside Car                                 3. Man Standing In Closet                 4. The Writer                                      5. Man Standing Before A Mirror      1. Man Riding Another Man, is another piece that was drawn with a brush and ink, with washes added. It was also done on a scrap piece of mat board. The flute in general is my favorite instrument, if I had to pick one to play. One of the reasons, is because of the beautiful Eric Dolphy, who passed away too soon. He also was an incredibly gifted alto saxophonist and bass clarinetist. I consider his Out To Lunch album, as the " great American novel " in a musical format, by this awesome performer. 2. Swingin' Easy ( For Sarah Vaughan) is a tribute to my favorite singer, The Divine One herself. I wanted to capture the vibe and energy, of being in an intimate and small jazz club, while watching an amazing performance. The excitement and awestruck sound of Sarah Vaughan is just so otherworld...
